94.3 FM is a 25-watt transmitter that I started in 2013. It is called a “low power FM station”. The antenna is 30 feet tall and is mounted on the chimney on my house. With the aid of some automation software, I play music none stop all day and night. My signal covers most of Salem. We live in town near the bottom of the valley and that cuts into transmitting because FM works in mostly “line of sight”. The structures here drastically reduce the transmitting area. My transmitter isn’t working right now but you can still listen online.
